It was late March 2013 when the outdoor company Patagonia contacted me. They were in a tight spot with essentially no photographic assets to base their 2013/2014 snowboard marketing campaign on. They needed a hail mary. I jumped in a beat up old Subaru with the boys and pointed the rig North to Alaska. So the adventure began. Three weeks later; greasy, toes and fingers still numb, exhausted and struck with a serious case of cabin fever I emerged with Patagonia’s snowboard marketing campaign. Where they happy? It was the first time I’ve been referred to as a hero by a photo editor, so I think so.
